Rosin Flakes (and clumps) also known as colophony, light yellow-amber color, is a solid form of resin obtained from pines. Used in printing inks, varnishes, adhesives/glues, soap, paper sizing, soda, soldering fluxes, and sealing wax.

Extracted from pine tree species known as Pinus Elliottii, commonly known as the slash pine.
At room temperature rosin is brittle, but it melts at stove-top temperature. The product is a mixture of small and large flakes and occasional lumps and fine powder.
