Silicone Fluid, 350 cSt, Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)
Non-reactive polydimethylsiloxane with ~350 mm²/s viscosity.Silicone Fluid, 350 cSt, Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)
Silicone Fluid 350 cSt (AK350) is a clear, colorless, odorless, low-reactivity polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fluid designed for industrial and technical applications. Its chemical stability, water-repellent properties, low surface tension, and dielectric characteristics make it a versatile alternative to conventional mineral oils.
With a nominal kinematic viscosity of 350 centistokes (cSt) at 25°C, this linear silicone polymer provides consistent flow characteristics and relatively stable physical properties over a broad temperature range. Its hydrophobic chemical structure provides resistance to water, low chemical reactivity, and compatibility with numerous organic solvents.
This multipurpose silicone fluid may be used as a lubricant, mold-release agent, hydraulic fluid, dielectric insulating medium, heat-transfer fluid, and additive in industrial formulations. Suitability depends on application conditions and system compatibility.

Solubility and Compatibility
Silicone Fluid 350 cSt is hydrophobic and insoluble in water. It is generally incompatible with short-chain alcohols but soluble or compatible with many organic solvents, including selected aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ethers, esters, ketones, and higher alcohols.
It is miscible with compatible silicone fluids of different viscosities, allowing adjustment of fluid properties for specific applications. Solvent and material compatibility depend on composition, concentration, and operating conditions. Testing is recommended before use in new formulations.
Storage and Shelf Life
Store in tightly closed containers in a clean, dry environment, protected from moisture, dust, and other contamination. The maximum recommended storage temperature is 50°C.
Polydimethylsiloxane fluids exhibit excellent chemical stability under suitable storage conditions. Exceeding the manufacturer's recommended use-by date does not automatically indicate that the material is unusable. Continued suitability should be determined through evaluation of relevant properties, including appearance, viscosity, and evidence of contamination or chemical deterioration.
Caution:
Intended for industrial and technical applications. Not specifically recommended for direct food additive, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic applications. Users are responsible for evaluating compatibility, operating temperatures, electrical suitability, and performance under actual application conditions. Review the applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before handling. Typical technical values do not constitute guaranteed specifications.
