S100N is a coarse, dense, low-carbon iron and steel powder intended for industrial, technical, magnetic, welding, coating, and remediation applications. The product is supplied as a gray granular powder with strong magnetic properties and good flow characteristics. It is a dense elemental iron powder manufactured from molten iron, resulting in solid, dense particles rather than porous or sponge-type particles. The material is practically free of dust and has a controlled particle-size distribution concentrated primarily between 150 and 250 microns. The current Certificate of Analysis identifies the product as Coarse Steel Powder, granular in form, with an Fe-alloy chemical class and product code S100N. Iron content is at least 97%, and the material is insoluble in water.

Caution:

The product is not classified as hazardous under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard; however, handling or processing may generate dust that can mechanically irritate the eyes, skin, nose, and throat. Fine airborne dust clouds should be avoided because dispersed fine particles may form combustible or explosive mixtures with air in the presence of an ignition source.
